Originally from Scappoose, Oregon, I spent 16 years in banking, finance and mortgage lending. 5 years ago, I decided to make a career change and moved to Maui to begin work at the Grand Wailea in hospitality management. My desire to work more directly with the public influenced my move from management to guest services, where I have truly excelled above my own expectations. I find working directly with people in service most gratifying. I have been fortunate to receive multiple awards and most recently, received the 2025 Honorable Mention for the Food and Beverage Person of the Year – Large Property, from the Hawai’I Lodging and Tourism Association.
It was early 2023 when I met Justin. I was impressed right away by his outgoing personality and the integrity he showed in his work in retail sales in the automotive industry.

Growing up in a family of pool installers, Justin had learned at an early age, the importance of hard work and customer service! Rewarded for his efforts, Justin had received multiple awards for customer service excellence during his 14 years in auto sales. After visiting Maui in 2016, Justin was inspired by the island life through the many people he met and the beautiful, tropical island. At one point, it was a casual conversation about pool cleaning that peaked Justin’s interest and the idea of moving from automotive sales to pool service took hold. Shortly after that, Justin took a 3 month hiatus and during this time an opportunity presented itself that incorporated his childhood pool service background, and enabled him to move into the pool service industry. He took a pool technician position with a local pool service company, where he trained in pool and spa maintenance. Now, as a certified pool cleaning technician, Justin provides the best in pool cleaning and maintenance, serving our customers with Aloha on the Island of Maui with his award-winning customer service!

Justin took over after our previous pool service that had our water green. We were blown away as he was able to restore our pool to normal PH level and scrubbed the tile. Most importantly, we had a clogged vacuum line as the hose receptable broke in place so we couldn't vacuum the pool. Justin spent an hour one afternoon prying it out. When I offered him money for the work, he shrugged it off and said no charge. He's very hard working and we highly recommend him. Mahalo.
